History:

Dr. Amitava Basu Smriti Swastha Kendra is a 'no loss no profit' Charitable Organization founded in the memory of a Sensible, Humanist and friend of poor people Dr. Amitava Basu. After sudden and unfortunate demise of Dr. Basu in the year 2002, his Friends, Relatives and well wishers feel an urge to extend the medical support to the poor and economically retarded people of the society and formed NIMTA DR. AMITAVA BASU SMRITI RAKSHA COMMITTEE. In the year 2003, Dr. Amitava Basu Smriti Swastha Kendra started his journey in a temporary premise.

Present scenario:

Presently Swastha Kendra is having four Centres including Office premise within a radius of one km. Nearly 30 OPD clinic, Pathological Laboratory, X-Ray, USG, Different types of Cardiological investigation and varities tests are being done here. More than hundred Doctors are treating and 350 to 400 patients per day getting treatment.

24x7 Oxygen supply, Ambulance service, Nebulizer support also available.

Nearly 30 staffs are working here including voluntary support of the members.

All the premises are maintained well medical environment.

Billing and Accounting system are computerised within a premise but not in a common platform. Nearly 15 computers, sufficient number of printers are working. All the premises are Wi Fi and CC TV connected.

Our Moto:

All the premises will be connected in a common platform. Billing, Accounting and supervision should be done and monitored online.

As per the desire of Dr. Amitava Basu we are promised to found a Mini Hospital at Nimta. Already land has been acquired and the work is in under process.

The Hospital will be a 50 beded including ICU and emergency services.
